The "San Faustino" private school, made up of the nursery school and the primary school, draws its inspiration from the charisma of Mother M. Luisa Zauli, founder of the institute of the Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate.
In 1923-24 she received an explicit request from the Archbishop of Modena to open a nursery school called "Child Jesus" in the deserted villa in San Faustino and, in 1963, in the same building, the "San Francesco" elementary school was opened.
This school, initially private, after a short period, obtained legal status from the Ministry of Education.
Since 1990 this Institute, having been handed over to the Parish of Saints Faustino and Giovita Martiri, has carried out its service within the parish territory and is managed by the parish priest, who guarantees its quality as a free and Catholic school.
In the year 2000, the Institute obtained equal legal recognition, according to law 62/2000, which unified the School, bringing it to a single title as the "San Faustino" Infancy and Primary School.
